Real Estate School

Real estate schools provide the training you need to pass the test that is required to earn a real estate license. Licenses are issued by the state in which you wish to work, although many states do have reciprocity agreements that allow you to transfer your license if you move to another area at a later date. Search for great real estate exam study tips here.

Real estate school classes cover topics such as real estate finance, real estate law, real estate contracts, and real estate property management. This includes practical concerns such as how to ethically describe a property that is for sale, how to comply with Truth in Lending Act requirements, and how to prepare an offer to purchase a particular piece of property.

Real estate schools can be a part of a community college program or a private educational institution. A 60 hour course fulfills the minimum education requirements for taking the real estate licensing exam, but many schools also have longer certificate or a diploma programs that provide addition career preparation.

Many real estate schools provide online classes. While this can be a good option if you are interested in working full-time while preparing for a career as a real estate agent, it's important to remember that online learning takes a great deal of self discipline. Without a set schedule, it can be very easy to fall behind on your work. You will also have to take the initiative to ask for help when needed, since there won't be a teacher readily available to provide assistance.
