Human resource (HR) jobs are the backbone of our corporate marketplace. The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) offers four certifications for HR professionals. The PHR is one of these certification exams. It stands for Professional in Human Resources and is designed for HR professionals with at least two years of work experience.

What does the PHR exam cover? In addition to the core knowledge required by HR professionals, the PHR covers the following topics: strategic management (12%), workforce planning and employment (26%), human resource development (17%), total rewards (16%), employee and labor relations (22%), and risk management (7%). The passing score for the PHR exam is 500.
How can I prepare for the PHR exam? To get ready for the PHR test, you should check out a PHR study guide, which will provide sample questions, practice exams, and other test-taking strategies. You can find many PHR preparation materials for free online. You should also spend time looking over the detailed PHR outline available on the HRCI website.
